This my last project for my graphic design class in the subject of freedom. I've called it Childlike trust in freedom and it is a remake of the sacrifice of Isacc in an "anti-art" fashion, in light of the recent anti trans bills and the "lgb without t" movements. It explores the themes of the connection between trust and freedom, and how we trust others to let us have our freedom.
As we often see, that trust gets betrayed by others so they can preserve their own freedom, in light of an artificial, capitalistic and false happiness represented by the smiley face covering Abraham. In this piece Abraham represents not only God betraying its children, but also the government, and our own community, while the angel trying to stop him represents all the trans women who died for gay rights for every part of our community. Isacc in the middle of this fight however, has already been ripped of their identity.
