Artie Carden

Artie (they/them) is a queer nonbinary multiply-disabled creative. Their art is usually a reflection of the current state of politics and is used as a form of catharsis. They hope their work can boost morale and make people feel seen. They are a Libra Sun, Libra Moon, Cancer rising and Scorpio Stellium.

The art I have submitted are entirely upcycled pieces using collaging materials and old vintage film photographs my great grandparents took on their travels in the 80's and 90's. The photos were just too nice to throw away or keep boxed up forever to never be looked at. So through collaging on them, I hope to extend their life and bring affordable original art pieces with a little family history to marginalised people."
