Eka is a poet and artist currently working in the wonderful world of libraries and archives. They are working towards creating new pieces of art and poetry as well as starting up creative workshops.

About the zine

Un(e) ballerine is "a zine I made last year, frustrated at social media comments on the idea of gender presentation.

At first, I just did some croquis (time-limited sketches) of human figures and then the final idea clicked into place and I drew tutus over each of the sketches, regardless of the models' genders.

It means a lot to me, as someone who typically is female presenting but is very much not female in identity. I wanted to be angry (in an artsy metaphor way) about being reduced to just my clothing when establishing my identity."
