"I try to process trauma through art."
My piece shows my (as well as many other trans people's) need to escape a suffocating house/country to live the truth of a gender non-conforming body.
I imagined a dream-like break-out, keeping a link between my character's lightness and the burning house: fire destroys but fire is also life. I used mixed media on watercolor paper.
