The FRKNSTN Liberation Project
'FRKNSTN' for short.
It's short for the 'Free Knowledge Society for Trans' Liberation
And long for 'FRKNSTN Liberation'. (Naming troubles are a staple of trans existence.)
Putting that aside for now, let's talk about what the FRKNSTN Liberation Project is about:
-
Accessible trans/gender studies resources and knowledge-sharing,
-
Creating a space for trans folks to engage with each other without a cisnormative audience,
-
Decentralising universities, higher education, and academia as focal points of trans/gender studies,
-
Building upon accesible trans political, historical, cultural, critical, gender theory,
-
Engaging in discussion, development, and knowledge-sharing on topics of 'transness', gender, and (cis)normativity.
Get Involved
Would you like to donate resources or collaborate with the FRKNSTN Liberation Project on your own impassioned subject?
Here's some info on how to get involved!
We don't want to be rigid about what constitutes as 'educational' content, or what can be submitted to the site's resources!
The content that may or may not be on your mind:
-
Resource lists e.g. 'all the studies that prove the Cass Review wrong',
-
Information leaflets for wider circulation,
-
Podcasts, videos, audio (links to other platforms or hosting on the site, both are possible!),
-
Old research projects from your studying years,
-
Quizzes & online activities,
-
Essays & articles (such as about trans history, culture, art, guidance, HRT...).
If you would prefer to collaborate on an event, whether that be:
-
Workshopping,
-
Seminars,
-
Talks,
-
Film viewings,
-
Roundtable discussions.
